Real ID Information and Requirements

Starting May 7, 2025, under the federal Real ID law, Real ID will become one of the accepted forms of identification travelers will need to use to get through airport security. You can also use certain federal documents, such as a passport or permanent resident card, but a traditional driver’s license will no longer be accepted at Transportation Security Authority (TSA) screenings for commercial flights, or for entering certain federal facilities.
